Multivitamin and Mineral preparation
Oral suspension, 200 ml
Zorberry suspension is indicated for vitamin and mineral deficiency states in adults and children.
One teaspoonful (5 mL) to be taken once daily, or as directed by the physician.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in the formulation.
Products containing calcium, magnesium, iron, copper, or zinc may interact with orally administered antacids, gastric acid–suppressive medications, antibiotics (including tetracyclines and fluoroquinolones), levodopa, levothyroxine/thyroxine, bisphosphonates, penicillamine, trientine, digitalis, antiviral agents, and thiazide diuretics. If concomitant administration is necessary, the intake of these products should be separated by at least 2 hours.
Zinc
Zinc sulphate reduces the absorption of tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones. Additionally, taken zinc supplements reduce the absorption of copper. Prolonged use of high doses of zinc supplements leads to copper deficiency with associated sideroblastic anemia and neutropenia.
Pyridoxine (vitamin B6), even at low doses, accelerates metabolism of levodopa, because of which the dopaminergic action of levodopa in the treatment of Parkinson's disease is antagonized. This antagonism is counteracted by combination with a decarboxylase inhibitor.
Diuretics
Zorberry suspension contains vitamin D, hypercalcaemia may occur when it is given with thiazide diuretics. Thiazide diuretics decrease urinary excretion of calcium. Plasma-calcium concentrations should be monitored in patients receiving the drugs together.
Corticosteroids
Corticosteroids reduce calcium absorption. Corticosteroids may counteract the effect of vitamin D.
Antiepileptics
Vitamin B6 and folic acid has been reported to decrease serum concentrations of phenobarbital and phenytoin. Some antiepileptics (e.g. carbamazepine, phenobarbital, phenytoin, and primidone) may increase vitamin D requirements. Antiepileptics may produce folate deficiency states. Replacement therapy with folinic acid or folic acid may become necessary during antiepileptic therapy in order to prevent development of megaloblastic anaemia. Concomitant nicotinamide and carbamazepine may decrease carbamazepine clearance.
This medicinal product can be used during pregnancy and lactation; however, the recommended dosage must not be exceeded. As for every medicinal product, please consult your health care professional.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
Zorberry Suspension may be administered during pregnancy and lactation at the recommendation of the physician.
The vitamins and minerals in this medicinal product are excreted into breast milk, but harmful effects on the child are not expected at therapeutic doses. However, this must be taken into consideration if the infant is receiving other supplements.
Fertility
There are no data on the effect of the medicinal product on fertility.
No effects on the ability to drive and use machines are expected.
Gastrointestinal disorders: Gastrointestinal disturbances – diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain may occur.
Immune system disorders: Isolated cases of hypersensitivity reaction (such as rash). Symptoms may include hives, facial swelling, wheezing, skin reddening, rash, blisters, and shock. If an allergic reaction occurs, treatment must be stopped and a health care professional consulted.
Nervous system disorders: Headache, dizziness, insomnia, nervousness may occur.
Metabolism and nutrition disorders: Hypercalciuria. Renal and urinary disorders Chromaturia (slight yellow discoloration of urine). This effect is harmless and is due to the vitamin B2 contained in preparation.

No cases of Overdosage due to Zorberry suspension have been reported when used as recommended. In case of accidental overdose, discontinue use and seek professional assistance immediately. Any symptoms which may be observed due to the ingestion of large quantities of suspension will be due to the fat soluble vitamin content. Gastric lavage may be necessary to remove drug already released into the stomach. Signs and symptoms such as gastrointestinal disorders like diarrhea may be associated with an overdose of Zorberry suspension.
Most, if not all reports concerning overdoses of vitamins and minerals are associated with concomitant intake of high dosed single and/or multivitamin preparations. Acute or long-term overdose can cause hypervitaminosis A and D and hypercalcaemia as well as copper toxicity.
Uncharacteristic initial symptoms, such as abrupt onset of headache, confusion, and gastrointestinal disturbances such as constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting might be indicative for an acute overdose. If such symptoms occur, treatment must be stopped and a health care professional consulted.

Zorberry suspension contains active substances with synergistic, therapeutic actions necessary for maintenance and/or improvement of functional activities of the body. Vitamins, their precursors, minerals and trace elements are included to treat deficiencies. Many of those act as co-factors for various metabolic functions.
Cholecalciferol
Vitamin D is required to maintain normal blood levels of calcium and phosphate, which are in turn needed for the normal mineralization of bone, muscle contraction, nerve conduction and general cellular function in all cells of the body. Its involvement in the control of calcium metabolism and hence the normal calcification of bones is well documented. Deficiency of Vitamin D in children may result in the development of rickets.
Pyridoxine hydrochloride
The biologically active coenzyme form of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is pyridoxal-5′-phosphate (PLP). Approximately 80% of the body's total vitamin B6 is present as pyridoxal phosphate in muscle tissue. PLP functions as a coenzyme for numerous enzymes involved in amino-acid metabolism and also serves as a cofactor for glycogen phosphorylase, in which the phosphate group is catalytically essential.
Vitamin B6 plays a key role in the synthesis of neurotransmitters and is required for normal brain development and function. It is involved in the production of serotonin and norepinephrine, which influence mood, as well as melatonin, which regulates circadian rhythm. Together with vitamins B12 and B9 (folic acid), vitamin B6 helps regulate homocysteine levels in the blood.
In addition, vitamin B6 is important in steroid hormone action, where it facilitates the removal of the hormone–receptor complex from DNA binding sites, thereby terminating hormonal activity. Vitamin B6 deficiency may therefore result in increased sensitivity to low concentrations of estrogens, androgens, cortisol, and vitamin D.
Niacinamide
Niacin was identified as an essential nutrient during investigations into pellagra. It is not strictly classified as a vitamin, as it can be endogenously synthesized from the essential amino acid tryptophan. Niacin exists in two biologically active forms: nicotinic acid and nicotinamide.
The primary metabolic role of niacin is as a structural component of the coenzymes nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD) and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADP), which are essential for oxidation–reduction reactions involved in cellular energy metabolism. In addition, nicotinamide plays a critical role in DNA repair mechanisms, contributing to the maintenance of genomic stability.
Cyanocobalamin
Vitamin B12 is found exclusively in foods of animal origin. It is essential for cellular DNA synthesis and therefore supports the normal function of various body tissues, including the formation of the myelin sheath, particularly in rapidly dividing and proliferating cell systems such as blood cells and the gastric epithelium. The absorbed inactive form, cyanocobalamin, is converted in the body into two biologically active forms. Methylcobalamin is involved in the maturation of red blood cells, while adenosylcobalamin is required for healthy myelination and maintenance of neuronal integrity.
Deficiency of methylcobalamin results in a folate trap, leading to megaloblastic anemia. Deficiency of adenosylcobalamin causes accumulation of methylmalonyl-CoA, resulting in the synthesis and incorporation of non-physiological fatty acids into neuronal lipids, leading to demyelination, axonal degeneration, and neuronal death, which ultimately causes neurological complications.
Zinc sulfate
Zinc is an essential trace mineral required for the proper function of ~300 enzymes and therefore plays a role in nearly all biochemical pathways and physiological processes in the body. About 30% of total body zinc is stored in the bones, 60% in the muscles, and the remaining 10% is distributed throughout other body tissues. Zinc is vital for wound healing, immune system support, and enhancement of fertility, particularly through its role in sperm production. It also contributes to digestion, energy production, growth, cellular repair, collagen synthesis, bone strength, cognitive function, and carbohydrate metabolism, including glucose utilization and insulin production.
In addition to modulating cell-mediated immunity, zinc functions as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent. Even mild zinc deficiency is believed to cause chronic metabolic disturbances that may lead to or worsen immune dysfunction, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine abnormalities, neurological impairment, cancer, accelerated aging, and various degenerative diseases.
Beta carotene
β-Carotene is the most prominent and efficient member of the carotenoid family, a group of natural colorants present in the human diet. Carotenoids are fat-soluble compounds that are typically red, orange, or yellow in color. Alpha-, beta-, and gamma-carotene are classified as provitamins, as they can be converted in the body to active vitamin A. β-Carotene is metabolized to retinol, which is essential for vision, growth, and development.
Reactive oxygen species (ROS)–induced oxidative stress is considered a fundamental mechanism underlying several human diseases. β-Carotene exhibits a unique antioxidant activity, acting as a free-radical scavenger, and studies suggest that it may also help reduce tumor development. In addition, research has demonstrated that vitamin A is essential for the normal growth and maintenance of epithelial tissues.
Manganese sulfate
Manganese is an essential trace element required for normal growth, development, and maintenance of health. It plays a vital role in energy metabolism, enzyme activation, skeletal development, nervous and immune system function, and reproductive hormone activity. Manganese also acts as an antioxidant, protecting cells from free-radical damage, and is essential for bone and connective tissue formation, cellular energy regulation, and blood clotting. In the brain, manganese serves as an important cofactor for enzymes, including superoxide dismutase, and enzymes involved in neurotransmitter synthesis and metabolism.
Sodium molybdate dihydrate
Molybdenum belongs to a group of essential microelements. Molybdenum-containing enzymes catalyze basic metabolic reactions in the nitrogen, sulfur, and carbon cycles and are important for variety of metabolic pathways.
Sodium selenite
Selenium is incorporated into selenoproteins that have a wide range of pleiotropic effects, ranging from antioxidant, immune functions and anti-inflammatory effects to the production of active thyroid hormone. Low selenium status has been associated with increased risk of mortality, poor immune function, and cognitive decline. Selenium supplementation has antiviral effects, is essential for male and female reproduction, and reduces the risk of autoimmune thyroid disease. Prospective studies have generally shown some benefit of higher selenium status on the risk of various cancers.
Lysine
Lysine is classified as an essential amino acid. Lysine helps in synthesis of connective tissues such as bone, skin, collagen, and elastin; synthesis of carnitine and resultant conversion of fatty acids to energy; support for healthy growth and development in children; and maintenance of healthy immune function, particularly with regard to antiviral activity.
Iodine (Potassium iodide)
Iodine is an essential constituent of thyroid hormones. It is required for the synthesis of thyroxine (T4) and triiodothyronine (T3), which regulate metabolism, growth, and development. Adequate iodine intake is crucial for normal brain development, especially during pregnancy and early childhood, and for maintaining normal thyroid function throughout life.
Biotin
Biotin (Vitamin B7) is a water-soluble B vitamin that is essential for bodily health. It helps the body to process fat and sugars, and it helps form a critical process in fat production in the body. Biotin is involved in several carboxylase reactions. Biotin is often recommended as a dietary supplement for healthy skin, hair and nails. Biotin deficiency is characterized by development of fine scaly dermatitis, hair loss, conjunctivitis, ataxia and delayed development.
Chromium picolinate
Chromium is a critical cofactor in the action of insulin. Results from some trials have indicated that chromium supplementation increases muscle gain and fat loss associated with exercise and improves glucose metabolism and the serum lipid profile in patients with or without diabetes. Low chromium levels can increase blood sugar, triglycerides, cholesterol levels, and increase the risk for a number of conditions, such as diabetes and heart disease.
Myo-Inositol
Inositol is an essential molecule widely present in biological systems. Inositol-1,4,5-triphosphate (IP₃) functions as a key second messenger in the IP₃/Ca²⁺ signaling pathway, regulating numerous cellular processes. Phosphatidylinositol in cell membranes is involved in signal transduction, nerve transmission, and regulation of enzyme activity.
Cholecalciferol
Cholecalciferol is absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract into the systemic circulation. In the liver, it undergoes hydroxylation to 25-hydroxycholecalciferol, is subject to entero-hepatic circulation, and is further hydroxylated to 1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol in the renal tubular cells. Vitamin D metabolites circulate bound to specific plasma proteins.
Pyridoxine hydrochloride
Pyridoxine is absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract and converted to the active form pyridoxal phosphate, which is bound to plasma proteins. It is eliminated in the urine primarily as 4-pyridoxic acid.
Niacinamide
Nicotinic acid is absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract, is widely distributed throughout body tissues, and exhibits a short biological half-life.
Cyanocobalamin
Cyanocobalamin is absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract and is extensively bound to specific plasma proteins. Studies using labelled vitamin B12 demonstrate rapid uptake by the intestinal mucosa, where it is retained for 2–3 hours. Peak blood and tissue concentrations occur 8–12 hours after dosing, with maximum hepatic concentrations within 24 hours. Cobalamins are stored in the liver, excreted in the bile, and undergo enterohepatic recycling. A portion of the dose is excreted in the urine, most of it within the first eight hours.
Zinc sulfate
Zinc is poorly absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract and is widely distributed throughout the body. It is primarily excreted in the faeces, with small amounts appearing in the urine.
Beta-carotene
Except in cases of impaired liver function, vitamin A is readily absorbed. β-Carotene, as present in Zorberry Suspension, is a provitamin A and serves as the biological precursor of vitamin A. It is converted to retinol in the liver; retinol is emulsified by bile salts and phospholipids and absorbed in micellar form. A portion is conjugated with glucuronic acid in the kidney, while part is metabolised in the liver and kidney, leaving 30–50% of the dose for hepatic storage. It circulates bound to a globulin, and vitamin A metabolites are excreted in the faeces and urine.

Manganese salts are poorly absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract.
Sodium molybdate dihydrate
In humans, molybdenum functions as a cofactor for four enzymes. Sulfite oxidase catalyses the conversion of sulfite to sulfate, a reaction essential for the metabolism of sulfur-containing amino acids, including methionine and cysteine.
Sodium selenite
Although selenium is recognised as essential to human life, limited information is available regarding its function and metabolism.
L-Lysine
L-Lysine is absorbed from the lumen of the small intestine into enterocytes by an active transport mechanism.
Potassium iodide
Potassium salts are absorbed from the gastro-intestinal tract. Potassium is excreted via the urine, faeces, and perspiration, with urinary excretion continuing even when dietary intake is low.
Biotin
Following absorption, biotin is stored in the liver, kidney, and pancreas.
Chromium picolinate
Most chromium compounds are soluble at gastric pH, although less soluble hydroxides may form as pH increases. The gastro-intestinal environment and ligands supplied by foods and supplements play an important role in chromium absorption.
Myo-Inositol
Oral administration of inositol results in a maximum plasma concentration of 36–45 mcg. Pharmacokinetic studies in preterm infants estimate a volume of distribution of 0.5115 L/kg. Inositol is believed to circulate partly bound to plasma proteins.
