1. What RHINAM-M Syrup is and what it is used for?
RHINAM-M Syrup contains two medicines:
Levocetirizine – an antihistamine that blocks histamine (reduces sneezing, runny nose, itching)
Montelukast – a leukotriene receptor antagonist that reduces inflammation and allergy symptoms
This combination helps provide dual relief from allergy symptoms.
It is used for the treatment of allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial), including:
Sneezing
Runny or blocked nose
Itchy nose or throat
2. What you need to know before you take RHINAM-M Syrup?
Do not take RHINAM-M Syrup if you or your child:
are allergic to levocetirizine, montelukast, cetirizine, or any of the ingredients
have severe kidney disease (end-stage renal disease or on dialysis)
are a child (6 months–11 years) with impaired kidney function
Warnings and precautions Talk to your doctor before taking RHINAM-M Syrup if:
you have kidney problems
you have difficulty passing urine (e.g., enlarged prostate, spinal cord problems)
you have epilepsy or a risk of seizures
you have a history of mental or behavioral changes
Important precautions:
RHINAM-M is not meant for sudden asthma attacks. Always keep your rescue inhaler available.
Inform your doctor if you notice behavioral or mood changes such as:
irritability
restlessness
sleep disturbances
depression or unusual thoughts
Children
Recommended for children 2–5 years only (as per prescribed dose)
Not recommended in children with kidney impairment
Other medicines and RHINAM-M Syrup Tell your doctor if you are taking:
medicines for asthma
sedatives or medicines affecting the brain
antiepileptics (e.g., phenytoin)
rifampicin or phenobarbital
RHINAM-M with food, drink and alcohol
Can be taken with or without food
Avoid alcohol as it may increase drowsiness
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
If you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before use
This medicine should be used only if clearly necessary
Driving and using machines
RHINAM-M may cause drowsiness, fatigue, or dizziness
Avoid driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you
3. How to take RHINAM-M Syrup?
Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you.
Recommended dose:
Children (2–5 years): → 5 mL once daily
Use a measuring cup or spoon for accurate dosing.
Do not exceed the recommended dose.
If you take more RHINAM-M than you should Symptoms may include:
Drowsiness
Restlessness (in children)
Headache or abdominal pain
Contact your doctor immediately.
If you forget a dose
Do not take a double dose
Take the next dose at the usual time
If you stop taking RHINAM-M
Do not stop unless advised by your doctor

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
Common side effects:
Drowsiness
Headache
Fever
Cough
Abdominal pain
Diarrhea
Runny nose
Serious side effects (seek medical help immediately):
